Software to log swap file usage?

I have the impression my system rarely if ever uses the swapfile since I never see the HD LED flicker on and off as I used to see on an earlier system. If that is true, I could reduce the size of fixed swap file on my HD with little or no degradation of performance. Do any of you know of a software that would run in the background and accumulate a log of swapfile usage -- preferably more info than just a "hit" being recorded?

Have you tried the built in Windows System Monitor, it has a swap file option log in the memory manager section.
