Software to log file transfers to/from removable devices?

Hey guys,

I'm looking for software that can run in the background of a Windows machine, and make a log entry every time a file is copied to/from a removable device - for security purposes.

I tried a few pieces of software, but most of them seem focused around securing access to the USB / 1394 ports etc... I just want simple logging

Thoughts?

Look at a product called Safend. Yes, it is used to secure all points of I/O on a machine, from CD burning, USB, even infrared.

That said, you can use it to tattle on users regarding what files are being copied. It requires an active directory environment though. The system does not need to be logged into the domain in order to track usage. Once the user logs into the domain again, it will tattle on everything copied while logged off the domain. It is up to you to set the filters for what will cause an "alert" for a copy... ie; file type, file name wildcards, etc.
