Either I keep getting garbage SD cards, or our video camera sucks. I am looking for software to repair corrupted .mp4 files. Currently the file is stuck on an SD card. I can start copying from the card to my pc, then when I get to a certain spot, I get a currupted file error, and it cannot be read. I have tried to ignore the error but it just locks the pc(I let it run for over 12hrs today, and I never even got another 1kb copied over). Viewing directly from the card, I can see the first ~4 1/2min of a 12min video, but then it gets the same currupted error as the copy. Even watching it on the video recorder itself gets to that same point then just stops. This is the second card that has done this, the first still has a part of our wedding on it, and stops after my wife has walked down the aisle. I would really really like to get these back.
I have seen a couple of websites but I keep feeling like they are a scam. This one in particular: http://www.digitalmedia-recovery.com/how-do-i-repair-corrupted-mp4-file.html on the right side it says it had been reviewed by cnet, but when I searched cnet it didn't come up. I usually go by well reviewed and suggested software from multiple sites before I purchase something like this online.
So what do you guys use???
Thanks,
Robb
