Howdy,

I have a Kodak digital camera and when I download the photos to my PC they are HUGE. I always have to resize them to about 35% - 33% of the original size to make them normal. Is there any program that has a mass resize option where I can select a bunch of photos, put in a standard (25%) setting and just have it go?

Thanks

for free, Irfanview can do it too. just open irfanview and go to file > batch conversion/rename.

make sure the save as options are set to 100% so you dont lose image quality, and check through the other options to make sure you dont over-write the originals...

in the lower-right, click "batch conversion"
select image type, press "options". make sure your type is at 100% quality etc.
tick "use advanced options", hit "set advanced options", and fill in the "Resize" section. if you tick "preserve aspect ratio", it will maintain the proportions of the pic and stay under both the height and width sizes/limitations. tick "resample" for the better quality.

browse to the folder with the images, and drag + drop them into the left pane. fill in a output directory -- I suggest a different one to where you have the source files, at least to check at first.

start.

if the progress screen shows errors, scroll up to check which ones. if it's one or two just redo those pics manually, if its a lot delete the folder and sort the options properly this time ;)
