software to defeat DVD region lockout

I just got a Dell Inspiron laptop, and I would very much like to play non-region 1 dvd's on it. Does anyone know of a solution?
 
I have seen cracks that would disable the region locks on PowerDVD or WinDVD... but sorry I dont have the link... search around, it should not be hard to find...
