Software to Create an Audiobook?

SMOGZINN

Lifer
Someone game me a Book on CD, it is 7 disks long.
The problem is that I only working CD players I own are in my computer, not where I want to listen to the book. So, I want to rip it to digital format and put it on my ipod.
Does anyone know of any free software that will rip multiple CD's to a single M4b file?

I don't know about M4b, but I have ripped audiobook CDs to flash and other media in MP3 format. 7 CDs will fit on a single disk - or a thumbdrive. It would be no different than ripping music - same process.

The problem with iPods is a lack of ports. Maybe with Bluetooth you can copy over the files? There should be a way to onload MP3 files to an iPod.

This may help . . .

can't you just use Itunes? My wife transfers her mp3 downloads to her ipod using that.
I say just rip the disc using Itunes, Use Audacity to load the files and join them into one, export and transfer using Itunes.
Or maybe just load the mp3's in que so they play on your ipod one after the other
