Software to control the fan speed of BFG 7800gt

for some reason after i installed nvidia drivers the fan would slow down a bit but after a few restarts it would run full speed all the time. i tried to use rivatuner but it doesn't seem to work. i'm using the latest drivers. are there any other programs to turn down the fan so it's not so damn loud. thx
 
google expertool and google it. Most of the time lowering the fan speed to 60% or lower will only result in maybe 3 degrees higher core temp.

Sure did, thanks for your concern. The newest version of rivtuner (15.8 just came out a couple days ago) has an improved fan controller module. If you weren't using that version before, I would try the new one.
