Software to combine/stitch together pictures for panoramic view?

I'm looking for software to combine several pictures to form a panoramic view. I took pictures from a recent hike and want a panoramic view of it.

get the free version of paint shop pro. that should do it.

canon had some good software called photostitch.

Canon "Photo Stitch" s/w does an excellent job.

Tripod helps a lot. Just made sure there was overlap in the pictures. The software lets the user choose points that match in the two pictures. I think I picked about 10 or 15 points. Software did the rest.

The Panorama Factory is also pretty good.
And so is Adobe Photoshop Element's stitch. Strangely enough it isn't in Photoshop.
