Nice post :) I'd update the title to say "FAR" or free-after-rebate so people know

Money 2003 is being sold by some guy for $9 - may be safer to get that instead of going for the rebate

Good find though!

Noticed that if you buy over $25 you get free shipping. You may want to buy more than one program to get over that limit.

I bought Encarta before. Microsoft MIR was very fast. The check came in the envelop from Microsoft not a lousy postcard check from third party.

Microsoft always pays rebates in a timely manner... one good thing they do. I'd buy one of their titles to pad my order.

I wonder if I can "cash" out a gift code after MIR, anyone know if a rebate can be rejected for using a gift cert.? I'd doubt it but who knows.

Any idea why they took that rebate off of the page? Is there any reason it won't be valid if I buy Encarta now?

It is offered by OD now, so the rebate won't be valid

free MS encarta is alive again: To buy MS encarta standard 2003 from Amazon click on Used & new and then scroll down to Amazon and click add to cart

glad I saw this before I ordered it from them, 30 day trial was almost up.

cant say the same for the mcafee spamkiller that I got last week at crapusa
