I have had some connectivity issues for the past week or so. Every 15-20 minutes or so, my connection would drop and get reconnected again a couple of minutes later. The times were very random. Disconnects could happen within a couple of minutes to within an hour of each other, and downtime could only be a minute or two, up to 10 minutes. I replaced our Linksys Hub with a AT&T Router, but that didn't help any. The connectivity light on the cable modem would be flashing when the connection is dropped. I think that means its from the cable modem and "back" (the line, etc). I called Brighthouse (my ISP), and they sent out a Tech. He replaced it the old modem a new one, saying it should be fixed, but the problem still occurs.
Since replacing the modem, the connection doesn't appear to have dropped as often, or for nearly as long (maybe, dropped once every hour instead of every 15 minutes, and only for a couple of seconds instead of a couple of minutes).
This problem is very annoying as I can't do anything aside from browse. I don't bother with online games until it is fixed.
I would just like to know if there is some software out there that would log and monitor connectivity, as to when it loses this connection, how long the connection is lost, and how often the connection is dropped. I tried IPSentry, but it isn't very user friendly, and I do not think it'll do the stuff I want it to do. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Thanks
