Software that burns pictures into a slideshow DVD

I thought I'd post this here rather than the software section.

My brother would like to send a DVD to my parents with a slideshow of the pictures he took in California. He'd like it to be fairly simple and have an option for background music too. I did a google search and there's so many programs. Any recommendations? Price is not a problem.

these are two I have used in the past. Both do SVCD as well.

Edit: my version of ULead is older so it may have been updated, but memories to TV had a lot nicer transitions.

my mom uses Pro Show Gold to make slideshow movies. you can add music, add effects to our photos or do transition effects and a bunch of other stuff.

its not free and it deosn't sound like you need all that, but its an option.

I have several, including ProShow Gold - but the simplest to use is ArcSoft's "DVD Slideshow." It is now Vista compatible with the latest patch.
