Software that backs up on system shutdown?

Is there a backup software for Windows10 64bit that will do backups at system shut down?

I want something that when I am done for the day I can rest assured I have a latest back up of my data without having to jump through any hoops to make sure.

I just want to be able shutdown my computer, turn off the monitor and put my feet up no worries.

You might want to look into folder redirection or to store everything on a networked drive.

The issue that you will run into here is that Microsoft only gives some tasks a certain amount of time to complete on system events, logon, logoff, shutdown etc. If your task takes too long, it will be killed.

Did not think of that, backups could be compromised easily.

I will look in to folder redirection or perhaps something that auto-backups on changes/additions to a specific file or folder.

Thanks

It sounds like the OP would be just as happy with a backup utility (perhaps run from a desktop icon) that automatically shuts the computer down when it's finished, rather than requiring a program that only gets triggered when a true/literal "shutdown" occurs. I don't know of anything like that offhand, but I'd imagine looking at it that way broadens the field quite a bit...

[ETA: I can't vouch for it, but while this utility is probably overkill, it looks like it would do the trick if the OP has an existing back-up solution.]

Macrium Reflect can be set to shutdown after completing a backup you initiated, or, Acronis Backup 11.7 can be set to initiate a backup upon a event, such as shuting down, etc, etc.
