Software restriction and remote desktop?

Ok, so I followed one of the guide on top of the forum and now have a limited account with software restriction policy turned on xp pro system. I had to make some path exceptions and adjust security permissions for few programs to make them compatible but overall I think it's working quite well.

One thing I can't seem to figure out is, I can't use remote desktop nor access network folders once I've been using software restriction, how do I go about fixing this? Is there a way I can make an exception for using these services?

Look in your Event Viewer logs and see if they show what's causing the hangup, and then maybe you can set up rules to get it resolved.

Hi, first, thanks for writing that guide. After reinstalling the system because of virus, I wish I'd knew about this long before using everything in admin account. I always try to be careful about what I install, but it's the ones that I have no control over that's probably what got me. And this gives me so much control and security.

Anyways, back to the network issue, I've just tested it again and for whatever reason it's all working fine now. I don't know if the problem was on the other side of the network, but it seems everything's normal. So, so much for that, and thank goodness :)

Thanks again for the guide, and keep up the good work.
