I had to reinstall my mouse so I went to microsoft website and downloaded the Intellipoint 5.2 driver .exe file. During the install it asks for IP5.msi files that are part of the driver file on my CD, but I do not have the CD.

So the install aborts but though it is listed in remove programs there is no way to uninstall it. But since it is listed I cant install any IP4 drivers which would work fine.

Is there a way I can manually get it off. :wine: thank you

The entry I dont care about, it does not have a change or remove button and the fact that it is partially installed prevents me from installing any IP4 drivers. At the same time there is no way to uninstall it cause its NOT installed, but it must have registered some components somewhere. thanks

You can use System Restore to go back to a restore point prior to installing the driver.

Also, you ARE aware you don't NEED the Intellipoint driver? You only need to install it if you want to use some of the advanced features the driver provides, but the mouse will work fine without it.
