I want to get everybody's opinion as to which software is best to copy DVD to VCD. U know like...Nero as to burning CDs, Windows XP as to....err....uh...not sure what to say here🙂

And plz provide links if possible, thanks.

There are so many softwares to download from, which exactly are you guys talking about?
I merely want to copy DVD to VCD...shouldn't have to download 2 or 3 softwares to complete the task, no?

Thank the MPAA and their payoffs to Congress to buy the DMCA. Most people writing programs don't want to take the extra step to "illegally" use DeCSS code to break the DVD copy protection.

dvd2svcd

you will need either tempgenc or cinema craft encoder

easy to use, pretty much set once, start comeback 6-8 hours later

Ask and thou shalt receive!

I've used DVDx successfully to convert a couple of my DVD's to VCD format for watching on my laptop CD-ROM drive 🙂

This was the easiest DVD 2 VCD 😉 software that I've used - and for a long time the only one I could figure out how to work too!!! 😱

I think it is a good piece of software for a newbie to ripping and re-encoding to other formats. I'm sure in the end you will gravitate to DVD2SVCD etc though. 🙂
