software raid, replacing motherboard

System: p8z68-v pro / 2600k / bunch of drives

My motherboard stopped working after what nearly 3 years of running nonstop. I guess I can't really complain.

I have drives setup with their Intel software RAID, I'm worried about losing my data when replacing the board. So I figured the safest way was to buy the exact same board and reconnect the drives to the exact same SATA ports.

However it looks like this board isn't being made anymore? Newegg doesn't have it in stock.

seems to have been replaced by: P8Z77-v pro

Any ideas if this will work?

Thanks

as long as its an intel board with an intel sata controller you are ok

ive taken raids with me on more than one chipset.

as soon as you set the controller to raid it will be there.

Cool thanks.

Did you have to be careful about keeping the same SATA port numbers or anything?
