software raid in XP?

If I remember right, Win2000 has built-in raid in software. Does XP home? I'm getting a pair of 120gig drives that I'd like to raid just to keep it as one drive letter (for video capture/storage) so performance isn't critical. If I can get a cheap non-raid IDE card, can I set these up as a raid array with just XP home?

Software raid is not supported in XP home. XP Pro has support for dynamic disks, which are needed for a software raid solution.

Besides that, I believe that software raid requires at least 3 drives to be present (because the OS takes care of the RAID, the OS cannot reside on a drive that is part of the RAID).

Thanks. I'll actually be up to 4 drives - a 40 gig IBM 60gxp (still running, 2 years strong!) as my C drive, a 80 gig Maxtor as a data drive D (mp3, video, almost full), and then I'd like to add the pair 0f 120s as a "third" drive. Guess I need to watch for a deal on a raid card then.
