If you buy a legitimate piece of software NetNanny, for example. Let's say you have 2 PC's at home. Is it legal to install that software on both of your PC's or are 2 copies needed?

You need to read the software licensing agreement to find out - some let you install it on multiple PCs but only one in use at the same time - some only let you install it on one PC.

Depends on what language is included in the license. To be completely on the up-and-up, you would likely need to purchase two licenses. There may be an option of buying multiple licenses and only one copy of the software.

OK, thanks. To keep things completely legal, it would be best to get 2 copies.
