Ive just started finishing my system by putting all my software in my computer. I have tried a couple Xp installs to try to get rid of some software install issues, heres my main problem:
Most of my games will not finish installing (like 90% of them). A similar problem happens with certain files in my OS installs(very rarely though) and applications. Sometimes I get an error refering to possible "bad media", or "crc error" or "network issues".
All the discs I know should work. It does this when using both optical drives. I think it has to with the "cycle redunacy check" error.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what could be causing this fatal error? Is it due to hardware failure?

XP Pro OS
soyo dragon plus k7v
xp 2100+
visiontek ti4600
maxtor 60gig, 7200rpm
teac 12x burner
pioneer dvd116
