Im building my first computer, so i'm a little new tom this. I've been reading tutorials and such on how to install everything, but every article I read says use your old hard drive first then install the new one (what if I dont have an old hard drive). Also, how can I install windows if my cd-rom drive, dvd-rom drive, etc. aren't installed with their drivers yet? Does the motherbard automatically read such things? Need a little help in this department!

The XP CD is a bootable CD that will start the installation process, even if the new hard drive has nothing on it.

You'll need to install the hardware (motherboard, CD/DVD drive, etc.) and make sure it boots up and the drives are recognized, Next, go into the BIOS and set the CD/DVD drive as the first boot device. Pop in the XP CD, and the system should boot off it and begin the installation.
