software/hardware that handles application and OS crashes?

I'm looking for some kind of equipment that will automatically reboot a computer if the OS has crashed.

Also, I need software that will terminate an application in Windows that has stopped responding (and maybe try launch it again, too)

Well, it's not feasible to change the os. I've had win2k crash on me many times too, on my main system. I'm looking for a solution that will handle anything.
 
i know there is software that can detect when software crashes..Mcafee makes somethin like that...but i dont think there is any that restarts computer
