Software for testing packet loss?

I'm trying to diagnose the problem in this thread (), and I think it would be useful to have a piece of software that I can d/l that can test packet loss from my wireless client to my router. I've got a Dell TrueMobile 1150 and a Dlink 614+, but I'm not sure what the best way to do this would be; since I get great performance on everything but this specific problem, I'd like to take a look at network diagnostics (basically lots of packet sending, different types of packets) and see if something is getting discarded.

Any recommendations?

QCheck, from NetIQ.

It's free. It'll test throughput, packet loss, and latency using your choice of several protocols (TCP, UDP, IPX, etc).

It does require two endpoints (computers running QCheck), but it's very accurate and easy to use.
