software for scanning and identifying dupe images?

i use dup detector at the mo which works fine but throws a fit on some images at times. not sure if too many images in a folder of if 1 is corrupt somehow. no way to find culprit though.

i've also tried duplicate cleaner but that only works on exact file dupes whereas dup detector analyses the image and finds matching images but of varying compression/resolutions

anyone know of something like the 1st (dup detector) but more stable? free software ideally :$

A couple of image analyzers mentioned in comments are dupeGuru PE and VisiPics. Also, AntiDupl.NET.
