Software for passwording system @ bootup?

It should be a feature/function that you can turn on in your bios.

If you're talking about software to require a password before the OS boots, tell us your OS and we'll be able to help you better.

In the bois, There should be a set Supivisor password section, set the password from there, Then go into advanced options nd change the security level or whatever it is called to system

There are several free/shareware apps to lock win98 from unauthorized users. Search places like winfiles for win98 lockdown/security applications or search this forum for listings of several. The well-written ones cannot be circumvented by clicking cancel or by rebooting if used during a windows session instead of just at boot.

a password protected screensaver in startup wouldn't be much protection... large window of opportunity, you can bypass it by going to safe mode, too.
Have used a few programs of this type... look for Full Armor or WinShield.
