Software for making backup DVD copies?

Looking for something cheap (i.e. free) to back up my DVDs. One got scratched and they won't replace it, so I have to buy it over again, which kinda p***es me off. Anyone?
 
If your DVDs are not copy-protected, Nero MediaHome is a reliable free program. Otherwise, you'll need something like DVDFab DVD Copy, which costs about $50. Some commercial DVDs are not copy-protected, but most of them are.
