Software for home network bridges?

I currently have a USB modem hooked up to my main computer. It is a DFI Lanparty NF4 motherboard with 2 ethernet ports that i have bridged connections to another computer and my xbox 360. It runs and manages to do well but it drops connection and has to redial the connection... It's only for a few seconds but is pretty annoying when you cant finish a game of madden. Is there any kind of option or software out there that would keep the connection open, or manage them better?

Sounds like you need a better modem or better phone lines. I would invest in a real hardware modem, not a software USB piece of crap.

I would also go with a hardware router.

The Asus WL-520gU goes on sale down to $20 every once in a while. Last month it got down to $30. Great router that takes USB storage and can be flashed with DD-WRT for more control.
