Software for file synchronization over the internet?

DOes anyone know a peice of software that I could install on both my home and work computers, so that when I make changes to any file in a certain directory, they're automatically updated on the other machine? I want to be able to work on certain files from home without actually bringing anything home with me. I don't mind pressing a "sync" button when I log onto each machine or something, but I don't want to have to zip up my projects and email them to myself or anything to move them around.
