software for disabling internet after X minutes ?

Just a shot in the dark... anything like this exist ? Even if all it does is disable the ethernet adapter until I do an enable again ? Doesn't need to be a hidden app or anything... whatever works...

Need it to keep my download/upload intervals in check without having to watch it.
 
Install ZoneAlarm free version, go to Program Control > Main tab and turn on Automatic Lock, then hit the Custom button and set your desired options.

Thanks, the screensaver enabled trick works great.

If anyone knows of any programs specifically designed to do this, that would be good too... until then, thanks for this solution.
