Software for creating overview of program

I'm in need of some program that will help me get an overview of my developing projects. Essentially, I would like to create some sort of map with arrows that tells me what function calls what etc. I was thinking that a flow chart program might work or something similar. Does anyone use this when developing? Im working in c++; perhaps there is even a way of generating it directly from the code? Anyone has an idea?

It also has some notion of a "class diagram" it seems.

I read MagicDraw Pro can generate class diagrams from C++ code, not sure about details.
