Software for combining videos

I posted this in the video section, but that place gets zero traffic, and I need something like this quick so i figured i'll give it a try here:

I am looking for software that will take in as input two videos A and B.

A is 200*300 resolution and 30 seconds long, and B is 200*300 resolution and is 30 seconds long.

It will combine these on the screen side by side on screen. Resulting video will be 400*300 resolution and will be 30 seconds long.

This is to be used to do a "how A compares against B" comparison side by side.

Is there any free or trial basis software that will let me do this?

why not just load up 2 media players side by side and play them next to each other ? 🙂

I guess that is an option is I was doing the presentation, but this is for the higher-ups and they want one video.
