Software for capturing gameplay

Was thinking about taking some video of PS2. It has an in game video capture which I tried but have no idea where it put the file. But I figure if Im going to do video capture I might as well use the best software I can get. I saw a review that said Fraps is still the best.

Video capture on a Playstation 2? Or some game abbreviated as PS2? If the former, you have to buy hardware to capture gameplay. If the latter, I use MSI Afterburner. It's free and can record in full HD. Fraps is supposed to be good but it also costs money.

Ehh I'm going to venture a guess and say he meant Planetside 2, after all, this is the PC gaming forum 😉

I use both Fraps and the built in recording capability of MSI Afterburner.

Bandicam. You can save directly to different type of video formats that are a lot smaller than the typical FRAPs output format. I record my Bandicam at 720p and decent quality straight to a usb3.0 external drive.
