This past weekend, I went into Software Etc (they're owned by Gamestop) and there was a PS3 kiosk setup with a car game on... some 12 year old was playing it, so I didnt look too close. I immediately thought it was Prologue and there was a sign attached to the kiosk that sat GT5: Prologue. So sure, there you have it.
I browsed around a bit and because I never saw prologue in action before, wandered back to the Kiosk. I thought it looked pretty, backgrounds were nice (it was in some desert setting with canyons and stuff). Car model looked, ok... but it didn't look like the car was driving on the road. Basically appeared to be floating just above it.
As I looked closer, I thought to myself "Wow, Prologue really doesn't look as good as I expected it to." There were jaggies, some texture problems, and more.
Then, the kid playing the game crashed.... and there was vehicular damage. Huh? GT5 doesn't have damage modeling. Maybe its Grid? That's coming out soon and is suposed to be cool (at that point, I hadn't played the Grid demo yet)
Upon closer inspection, after the car reset itself, the license plate said "ProStreet"
I got punked, and still have never seen GT5 in person.
