Hi: This is not a come on to buy a product.I don't want anyone to buy anything from me, nor do I care about your e/mail address, habits, etc.

I am an Electric Guitar player....(Gibson Les Paul Custom,1976), and while jamming yesterday evening with a bunch of musicians, this thought occured to me: What if someone could write a program, or a series of "Modules" within the program(s)...To produce any number of special effects?

I'm talking about reverb,echo,Pitch shifting, Flanging/Phasing,compression,envelope-controlled effects,distortion, etc....

Of course you'd want to copyright it.Then you could charge a fair price to those who have an extra 'puter laying around.I have several pentium-class machines gathering dust.I figure a 300 Mhz box is all we'd need, and 128 or so of RAM, and a small Hard Drive.

I don't have the capability of undertaking such a project, but I am sure someone does, and they could make a fortune....If it worked well, I'd gladly pay at least $100.00 for such a program.....and if you decide to do it, please make all effects able to run simultaneously.

Please let me know if anyone is working on such a program.

You might want to check out the Creative SoundBlaster Audigy Platinum sound card. I believe it comes with the software to do this. You can plug your guitar (or microphone, or any instrument) into the front panel. I think it even comes with mixing/recording software. I don't own one, but I may buy one for that very purpose!
