Software Engineer position open where I work

dwell

pics?
My company is looking for a hardcore .NET/C# developer. Heavy user interface experience is a requirement. Good skills in graphics programming, GDI+, developing custom controls, and writing consumer-grade software are a huge plus.

The position is in NYC. Our company is well known and the project we are hiring for will be ultra-high-profile. This is a career opportunity as your work will be published for all the world to see.

PM me if you want more information on the company.

This is a pretty heavy spot so I have to stress that we're looking for someone with really tight .NET/C# skills.

EDIT: Thanks for the sticky mods. Relocation probably not an option because we want to get someone on quick.

EDIT 4/16/06: We are open to bringing a consultant on. The project will be in heavy development up until the end of the year and then on a "point release" schedule.

Good luck with the search.

You may want to specify if you have any preference toward local candidates, or if relocation isn't an issue.

May - December timeframe. A consultant is not out of the question. I'll find out more tomorrow on that. Interested?

We have a similar position open here in Seattle and San Francisco. If you are not interested in dwell's position I have one too!

":writing consumer-grade software are a huge plus. "

No offense ... but is that some sort of joke? Consumer-grade is the bottom opf the barrel. I've been doing military apps for 6 years now. Everything from real time embedded safety critical to database stuff that doesn't really need much testing.

Anyways . I'm in CT ..... But have no .net or C# experience... so I'm not really a candidate.

you do realize that "consumer grade" software has a totally different development cycle and QA department than stuff used internally and not on store shelves to buy, right?

he never said it was "better" than what you do, he just said it's a plus.

What does your experience have to do with this thread, or are you just trying make your e-penis grow?

ROFL, I used to work for Militray Contractors, they only draw the bottom of the barrel, all a bunch of lazy or stupid guys who couldn't get a job in a place that did interesting work. I have yet to meet a really smart software engineer working for someone like Raytheon or Lockhead or TRW.

please, military apps. you're a joke.
