Hello AT world! This is my first post after long time reading these forums.
I could use some help with relative new hardware i bought couple weeks ago. After 4-5 years i finally bought new computer and my old Athlon 64 X2 5200+ is now serving as perfect pfsense firewall/router + nas.
To the problem with my new rig:
MOBO: ASUS M4A87TD/USB3 AMD 870 / SB850 (Latest BIOS 1102)
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1075T (Stock 3GHz)
GPU: ASUS CuCore Series EAH5770 CuCore/2DI/1GD5 Radeon HD 5770 1GB
RAM: KHX1600C9AD3K2/4G (Kingston DDR3 4GB 1600MHz (2x2) HyperX, 2x 2048 MB, DDR3 1600 MHz, LCL9 1.65V
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 6402AAEX, 640 GB, SATA3, 64 MB, 3,5", 7.200 rpm
CASE: Thermaltake Armor A60
PSU: Gigabyte 550W 80%

I think it's pretty decent rig for C4D hobby, Video Editing & watching Boxee over hdmi on LCD TV, soon i'm adding +4 GB of same RAM & same HDD for raid0.
My trouble is with all damn drivers i need to install for ASUS components
GPU: Driver/GamerOSD/SmartDoctor (updated from asus website)
MOBO: ASUS TurboV EVO, AMD OverDrive Utility, USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver, ASUS Ai_Suite, Ai Charger, ASUS AI Suite, ASUS PC ProbeII, ASUS EPU, ATK0110, AMD RAIDXpert, VIA VT1818 Audio Driver
* do i need AMD AHCI Driver - for SATA drives i have (don't have SSD)
* ASUS Express Gate - Don't want to use it (to disable in bios?)
* ASUS Update - can't detect correct bios for mobo
* JMicron JMB36X Controller Driver - IDE ???
1. Should i change anything in this rig?
2. Shall i use latest AMD Catalyst drivers instead of ASUS provided on website?
3. Is there any essential tool i should install
4. Is there solution for ATI vide driver crashing in 2D fullscreen video watching (tried GPU CCC profiles with higher freq. then idle 157 MHz any many other suggestions online but no help so far) * 3D & Gaming are perfect no crashing at all!
5. Is there any essential bios tweak for this rig (voltage etc.)
6. Is there any software NOT TO INSTALL by any means!
7. Is there any New Rig Software Guide ?

Software i have always installed: Windows 7 64bit, Kaspersky AntiVirus 2011, C4D, After Effects CS5, Illustrator CS5, Vegas Studio, Boxee, DropBox, TeamViewer, FF, Chrome & Worms World Party!
