I happen to have 2 sapphire X1800XT's that I purchased recently. I'm using one in my XP gaming rig and the other one I'm keeping as a back up If my GTX or the other X1800XT crap the bed. Just wondering if these puppies would run in software crossfire mode. My roomate has a crossfire board that I'de be able to swap with my A8n32 sli but I dont want to swap if it isn't going to work. Anybody have any experience with this or know where I can look. I 've seached just about everywhere but have no answers stating either way. Somebody chime in if you could
 
anybody with any feedback on the topic..... I went ahaed and tried to run crossfire on the board wvwrything seemed to go well but the box to enable crossfire was greyd out saying that my dsply doesn't support RGB. Connect a RGB Display Device to use crossfire. I tried on both the 2407 and Westy. Any Ideas. Here's a link stating that Crossfire x1800 XT's is (will be) possible without mastercards
 
It doesn't work. You need a Crossfire Master Edition card to enable X1800 Crossfire. Of course they can still be used together to drive 4 monitors.
