Software as a subscription service: how to phrase this in an e-mail

I am offering a software product that I wrote to a client. My intention is to collect annual royalties for its use in perpetuity.

I am struggling to find the correct language in conveying that the price is X per year. Keep in mind, this is the initial offer e-mail, and not the full blown cotract.

Right now, here's what I have: The fee structure that I can offer you is X per year to license this software.

Any suggestions on clearing that up? Or does it sound okay?

To license this software, it will cost X a year?
 
First, are you sure that kind of system will appeal to your client?

But in any case, what you said is fine. I might suggest "The license to use the software is $X per year for a single user. Discounts are available for multiple licenses."
