I'm attempting to softmod my new eVGA 6800 vanilla . But when I get to the low-level tweaks option, everything is greyed-out and says "Determined by VGA BIOS." Can anyone help me? I'd really really like to get this up and running.
Thanks.

I have that version. Does anyone know what's up? I can't quite seem to figure it out. Could it be a bios setting? I have the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum.

Can you change it back to like it was originally, and still have a warranty for it. I would really like to do this, but I would really like to keep my warranty also.

I hope you are wearing a helmet. Because you are about to be bombarded by flames!

You are not supposed to use a card in a way that was not meant by the manufacturer. If you do and it is damaged, you are not supposed to RMA it even if the manufacturer cannot know that you did it.

Click INSTALL :)

After that you can check "Allow enabling hardware masked units'

Then click "Customize"

Simply add checks to the two items that do not have checks.

Make sure you play some games and do other testing (i.e. run 3DMark03/05). If you get any artifacts then that means you may need to revert back, sometimes only 1 will work ... either the pipelines or the vertex unit but not both ... or even worse, neither.

I'll be friendly with ya here, people in this forum look down upon such actions, if you softmod, you do so at your own risk, the only people you hurt by retutning something after you fooled with it are the people that buy the refurbished product. So you have to decide, if you follow directions you should be alright though.

eek!! Last night I enable both and get artifact. So I turn off the Pipe, but leave the Vertex on -> No artifact. Anyway, I must check out about turn the pipe on, and Vertex off to see what's up.
