Soft serve ice cream

I have heard that cow brains or slaughterhouse "white meat" is used in soft serve. I think it was in an article on mad cow disease and how you could get it from eating cow brains or spinal cord tissue and one of the products mentioned was icecream.

Is this true?

Why would cow brains be used in ice cream?
I don't think that's true at all, otherwise we'd all hear about it. This isn't the kind of thing you can keep quiet.

Read the ingredients. The kind I've seen comes in a thing like a milk carton. If it has brains in it, don't eat it. Why would they put brains in ice cream?

i dunno, if you haven't noticed the brain flavor before you found out, i don't see what the big deal is. unless you're vegetarian or something. but something tells me they're not killing cows for the sole purpose of harvesting their brains for soft serve ice cream

Gopunk they just use the brains as fats (I think).

And if you consider prion based diseases like BSE its not only off-putting, it can kill.
