Soft FSB for KA7 Available

I don't know if this has been posted, but there are two Soft FSB plug-ins available for the KA7. One sets the FSB, and the other sets it in 1MHz increments. I have tried it out, and it works well, and is handy for trying new settings in Windows. It is also great when used with the working version of H Oda's WCPUA2 to adjust the cache (the version with no expiration date, not the un-released BIOS version) from the desktop.

It is here:

Technonut, are there any diferences from doing the FSB adjustments in the BIOS? Is it worth getting, or will it just do the same thing the bios does? Thanks...

It is basically the same as setting it in BIOS, but the settings are not retained if you reboot. There are times when you may not be able to boot when you set a certain FSB in the BIOS, but you can run the same setting with Soft FSB in Windows, and will work fine. I just like being able to try out different settings without having to re-boot. Of course if you over do it, your computer will freeze, making a reset necessary, but that is easier than what I have to go through sometimes if I over do it from BIOS. (holding down the insert button, and hope it boots, or having to pull the cord out of my Antec PS and plug it back in because the power switch on the computer does not turn it off) It's a small download, and free too.
