Sofabeds

Wife and I want to get a sofabed for a small NYC apartment. I noticed Jennifer Convertables, but they had a massive problem a few years ago with NY and NJ state AG's, lawsuits, fraud...etc. Nothing newer than early 2000's.

Does anybody know if they make good stuff? Any other manufacturers? We are looking to spend ~800-900.

The bar doesn't matter too much since we will be putting a featherbed on it.

My wife found one she wants to get for our basement at jc penney's. I believe it was in your price range as well.

Are you in a walk-up? Sofa beds are really heavy and a pita to move. If you get one, get it delivered. While i hate futons, they serve the same purpose, and are much more easily moved.

Doorman elevator. Definitely having it delivered. My wife doesn't like futons unfortunately.
