SOE Customer Support

I just had the funniest conversation with SOE customer support. At least I found it amusing. I got an email saying my SOE station password changed and if I did not make the change then call customer support.

I used to play SWG for quite a while but canceled the account maybe a year or two ago. I also messed around in EQ2 when it went F2P so I didn't really have anything useful in the account but why not.

I call them and the CSR looks up my account. He tells me since SWG is shutting down in December and I only have the free version of EQ2 with no purchases on it he would not take the time to recover the password to the account. I found it funny because while I don't really care about the account what CSR tells a (albeit ex) customer their problem is not worth their time?

You should've asked them why they thought it was worth their time to help someone else steal your account.

I've actually had pretty a good experience dealing with SOE support the one time I delt with them. They couldn't actually fix my problem and I ended up cancelling my account, I was getting bored with the game anyways, but it wasn't for any lack of trying on the customer support end.
