hi, im looking for some pc 5300 ram to go into my macbook. is 1gb enough... or hsould i jsut max it out at 2 gb. also where is hte best place to get it? Thanks

depends on what you're going to do. With memory prices where they are...it wouldn't hurt to go with 2gb.

Let me know if you're interested in buying some memory from a non-vendor. I have both a 1gb (512mbX2) and 2GB (1GBx2) kits of PC4200 that I'm selling. 🙂

with the macbook you'll want matching size pairs otherwise I'd recommend just picking up a 1GB stick to bring you to 1.25GB. But OSX is a memory hog so I'd get 2GB if you can afford it. At 1GB if I do more than surf the net and have Entourage open I start slowing down. Of course Netbeans and Weblogic are memory hogs too so that could be why things get slow.
