is it possible or cost effective to get an adapter to use the 256 pc2700 sodimm i have from my notebook on a mobo that takes pc2700 DDR? im trying to build a CHEAP secondary box, and just upgraded my laptops memory,and have a 256 chip just lying around. If it ever comes in i bought the sempron 2400+ mobo combo at outpost, it doesnt say what board it is, but its said to be an ECS.
would it make a lot more sence to just keep it clean and buy some DDR, what would be a price that i should JUMP on, i havent built desktops in a couple years so im out of the loop
