I remember at one point seeing articles about turning soda (coke) cans into wireless antennas or wireless repeaters to use on computer wireless networking systems. Does anyone know a site (or sites) that discuss how to do that? Or for that matter other cool how-to home wireless antenna projects.
I've searched the web on this topic, but only have been able to find info on that gps coke promotion. I remember hearing about this a few years ago.
I remeber on slashdot there was a story about a New Zelander who made a long range antenna using a wire wok tool. The tool was made to pull out large amounts of wok'd chicken from oil. Ill have to search for the link, but to be honest, I wanted to do a coke can or coffee can. Thanks for the links.

This is the link to that wok tool I was talking about. Pretty awsome to be honest.
I wonder though if anyone has worked to increase the range of an omni directional antenna with cheap products like this? Probably fun for an electrical engineer.
Reading around someone did a bit of studying and found that he could get a coffee can and Chunky stew can to work better than the pringles deal. Plus, you could say you are REALLY hooked on coffee.
