Socket754 Replacement Help

I believe that my Soltek is broken and I need a replacement. I was leaning towards the ASUS K8N-E. But I would welcome any suggestions. I would be using my computer mostly for gaming and will probably overclock a little bit.

I would welcome some suggestions on which chipset is better also.

Some older Antec PSU has capacitors failing. What are the problems?

I get these graphical (snowy squares) artifacts all over my screen during boot, when I'm idle on Windows XP or playing games and what not. I have tested the video card on a different rig by just using it for at least 3 weeks and it hasn't given me any problems. I did the same thing with the power supply also.

The other rig is a P4 3.8 Ghz ASUS P4P800 Deluxe.

Hmm I've been giving it a little thought about this idea: buying a 939 Athlon 64 along with an AGP 8x x939 mobo.

Any suggestions on a 939 mobo?
