Guys, I went to the local Super Computer Sale/Show yesterday, mainly for the entertainment value. I picked up an OEM MS wheel mouse and an Aavid Socket7 HSF, thinking I could use the fan on my retail Hercules Prophet II MX card's heatsink. Well, the heatsink really needs a 40mm fan, and the fan on the Aavid is 50mm.
So, my question is this: I will soon be building a second system for my neighbor, out of a Celeron II 566. Can a HSF such as the Aavid be used on this processor? We are not going to be doing any extreme o/c'ing; nothing beyond setting it up to run on a 100MHz FSB. TIA.
