Socket T LGA 775 road map

I'm getting on the Conroe wagon soon, I'm wondering if I buy a P965 based board (that's all I can afford right now), how long will Intel be making chips that will be compatible with them?

I remember reading that they are going to move to a new socket by 08. How long the chipset will last I'm not sure, but it will definitely be around for the quad-core launch.

With Intel's track record, probably not long.
It seems every time they change their CPU lineup, it almost certainly requires a new motherboard.
