Is socket f the 1207 pin socket for the opteron when amd bring out ddr2 support? If so why do they need 1207 pin for the opteron with ddr2? are they adding other support to it or what?

We dont know yet. One possibility is that they're integrating the PCI-E bus onto the cpu die.

yes

speculations says the extra pins are for on-die PCIe controller

socket M2 (940 pin) will bring DDR-II to A64

For some reason I can't get google to translate it, and my german isn't that good anymore.

It looks like they put the pins on the Mobo. I thought that was an intresting move.

omg the are go pin-less just like the socket 775 intels  i didn?t foresee this, oh well people can?t complain about bent pins when they get OEM's if they still do OEM's by then.

and also i suppose it will cut down manufacturing costs aswell, to what extent i haven?t a clue

nice find

Another thing removing the IHS for people that want a naked core, that is going to be a bit troublesome i would have thought, with that technique of securing the CPU in the socket that is.

Oh... so it's a Dutch medevil torture device then is it?

That thing looks like an iron maiden or something similar, designed to put the hurt on someone, or something.
