got a P2B with a P2 450 in it. I've seen socket P3 700e's for 200 plus 10 for an adapter OR a slot 1 p3 700e for 220.

Is there any difference preformance wize? Would the slot one chip be a bit easier to install?

thanks

There would be no performance differences whatsoever. Personally, I'd get the FC-PGA simply because slot 1 is headed out. Most of the up & coming motherboards are FC-PGA, & if you get a slot one you'll be stuck with it. With a FC-PGA all you'd have to do is ditch the slocket & you'd be ready to go with any new motherboard.
